Job summary

The Physician at Humana Inc. provides outpatient care with emphasis on health maintenance and disease prevention, maintaining medical histories and coordinating referrals as needed.

The role supports continuity of care within Conviva Senior Primary Care and CenterWell, with a focus on preventive care for seniors and a patient-centered approach across Humana's primary care network.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited program.
• State licensure requirements applicable to the jurisdiction.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine is required or preferred.
• Internal Medicine is preferred for the specialty track.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care focusing on preventive health and disease management.
• Maintain patient medical histories and records; coordinate care with specialists as needed.
• Influence department strategy and decisions on clinical approaches for projects.
• Perform clinical assessments and cultivate patient relationships to improve health outcomes.

The Physician work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Physician focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Keeps a medical history and medical records. Refers the patient to specialists as needed. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 or more years of technical experience
• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Prefer Internal Medicine specialty
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $255,000 - $298,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
