Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our CenterWell Senior Primary Care team in the Rio Grande Valley, delivering comprehensive outpatient care to adult and geriatric patients in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to document medical records, coordinate referrals, and participate in quality-improvement initiatives while enjoying a supportive culture and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
• TB screening required if selected for this role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to adult and senior patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Diagnose and manage moderately to complex medical conditions.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement projects.

• Contribute to projects and innovations in care delivery.

The Physician work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You will work on-site at both our Brownsville and Harlingen clinics. You will report to the Associate Medical Director for the Rio Grande Valley.

Main Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
• If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in value-based care or managing high-acuity geriatric patients.
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $255,000 - $298,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
