Overview

AvaMed Inc. is a leading medical staffing agency specializing in placements throughout all California State Correctional Facilities.

We are currently seeking a Primary Care Physician for a full-time assignment at the CA State office building in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

We offer weekly pay every Friday.

This is a Tele-Med position, you will not be inside a Correctional facility but will work out of an office building in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Position Overview :

Responsibilities
  • Job Title : Primary Care Physician Location : Rancho Cucamonga, California Employment Type : Full-Time Schedule : Monday - Friday7 : 00am - 3 : 00pm or 8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm Pay Rate : $156.40 / hr as a 1099 Pay Frequency : Weekly
  • Clinical duties and standards: To assist in its exercise of its duty to provide and manage medical healthcare services for the patient / youth of the State of California, Temporary / Relief Primary Care Physicians shall provide high quality services, consistent with the terms and conditions under this Agreement and consistent with established and commonly accepted standards and principles of medical practice.
  • Compliance with medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and universal infection control precautions.
  • Authorization for treatment and prior authorization procedures as required by law and the Institution / Facility CEO / CME or designee, per CCHCS's Utilization Management Plan.
  • Document and return all forms required regarding treatment of patient / youth; authorization documented in the patient / youth medical record for essential services before non-emergency specialty treatment or consultations.
  • Authorization for transportation / transfers as required by law; retain full authority to determine transportation or transfer after course of treatment.
  • Do not transfer a patient without prior written authorization.
  • Avoid experimental and investigational drugs and procedures unless permissible by law with prior authorization.
  • Provide only medical services aligned with generally accepted professional standards, subject to agreement limitations.
  • Adhere to exclusions and limitations per CCR Title 15, Division 3, Chapter 1, Subchapter 4, Article 8, Section 3350.1; exceptions may be requested with prior approval.
  • Clinical reviews: participate in clinical reviews to determine quality of care; may participate in Professional Practice Committee activities and may be called as witnesses.
  • Prepare and maintain written clinical review documents; provide formulary copy on file.
  • Consult with physicians to ensure medications prescribed are formulary unless deviation is authorized.
