Alliance Medical Ministry is a 501(c)(3) free/charitable clinic providing comprehensive primary medical care for uninsured adults who are working. AMM operates as a Patient-Centered Medical Home with a mission to reduce health disparities in Wake County. Our professional staff collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate healthcare, addressing physical, mental, social, and spiritual health.

Founded in 2002, AMM aims to increase access to medical care for low-income, uninsured adults, a significant gap in our healthcare system. We serve nearly 2,400 adults with an annual household income at 158% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Patients can self-refer or be referred by various organizations, and pay a sliding scale fee usually around $20 per visit, based on income.

Our comprehensive care includes access to fresh food through a community garden, health education, disease management, yoga, exercise programs, cooking and gardening classes, and mental health services via pastoral care and counseling.

AMM values strong partnerships, collaborating with organizations such as WakeMed, Duke Raleigh Hospital, UNC Rex, and others to improve patient health and lives.

We are seeking a full-time Physician (MD or DO) to work with the Medical Director, providing holistic, culturally appropriate care, and expanding our capacity to serve uninsured populations. Responsibilities include preventive and direct medical care, telehealth, wellness programs, supervising PAs or NPs, and mentoring medical students.

This is a mission-driven role focused on improving quality of life for underserved populations.

Compensation and benefits include:

• $155,000 - $165,000 annually with a 3% IRA match
• Full-time (40 hours/week)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary care provider and team lead for a panel of patients
• Manage chronic diseases, urgent care, and follow-up care
• Develop treatment plans and oversee prevention and disease management
• Prescribe medications within guidelines
• Order labs, x-rays, and referrals
• Collaborate with healthcare team members
• Assist with training and support for volunteer providers
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records
• Cover telephonic after-hours calls in rotation

Education & Training Requirements:

• Medical Degree and Board Certification in relevant specialty
• Current North Carolina Medical License
• Spanish fluency preferred
