Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Physician to join our on-site team in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves outpatient medicine, health maintenance, disease prevention, and continuity of care with the autonomy to determine objectives for clinical projects.

• State licensure in the practicing jurisdiction.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine.
• Internal Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient medical care and evaluation.
• Maintain comprehensive medical histories and records.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed and coordinate care.
• Ensure health maintenance and disease prevention across patient populations.
• Participate in limited on-call coverage by phone.

Job Overview

Become a part of our caring community. The Physician serves as a health‑care professional capable of handling a variety of health‑related problems, from moderately complex to complex issues. Responsibilities include analysis of situations or data, in‑depth evaluation of variable factors, outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. The Physician keeps medical histories and records, refers patients to specialists as needed, and has the latitude to determine objectives and approaches for technical projects without direction.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 or more years of technical experience
• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Prefer Internal Medicine specialty
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine

Additional Information

• Report directly to the CMO
• This is a full‑time onsite position
• Participate in limited on‑call coverage by phone
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
• Will be screened for TB if selected for this role

Pay Range

$255,000 — $298,500 per year
