Job Responsibilities:
- Perform annual evaluations and ensure preventative procedures.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses or injuries.
- Prescribe medications; order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
- Implement treatment plans and determine final diagnoses.
- Ensure patients meet medical admission criteria.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and utilization review processes.
- Supervise medical assistants and phlebotomists.
- Maintain medical records according to regulations.
- Prepare super bills and perform duties ethically.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed to practice medicine in this state as an MD.
- At least 5 years of experience as a licensed physician.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments.
- Strong judgment, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional and courteous interaction with individuals inside and outside the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR (Electronic Health Records).
