Job summary

American Academy Of Family Physicians is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide high-value, patient-centered care to individuals and families in the Colorado Springs area.

You will diagnose and treat acute conditions, perform wellness exams, immunizations, and manage chronic diseases while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive whole-person care within a supportive health system.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO).
• Current and unrestricted Physician License to practice in applicable state.
• Must have successfully completed a residency and/or fellowship.
• Obtain and maintain an unrestricted DEA registration.
• Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty.
• Obtain medical staff privileges within the health system, at sponsoring institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population.
• Diagnose and treat acute conditions, including illnesses and minor injuries (e.g., flu, strep throat).
• Perform annual physicals, wellness exams, and preventive health screenings.
• Administer immunizations and promote preventive care strategies.
• Manage and treat chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

• Obtain medical staff privileges within the health system, at sponsoring institution


• Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly

Pay Range

$260,074 - $364,435 /year
