Minimum Qualifications:Doctor of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medicine. Maintenance of board certification in an appropriate specialty such as Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Dermatology.
Position Summary:Provision of age appropriate primary care to eligible members of the University Community at the University of Georgia Health Center. The Health Center is a large multi-specialty ambulatory care organization that is accredited by the Joint Commission with primary care medical home designation. All licensed clinicians at the University Health Center are members of our Medical Staff whose role is to ensure that care is evidence based and of the highest quality. The membership serves as exemplars of our student-centered service excellence culture. Providing general primary care, patient education, care coordination and performing minor procedures are important aspects of the position. Primary Care Physicians are a critical component of the clinical leadership, providing oversight of care provided by Physician Assistants and Nurse practitioners.
Additional Requirements:Current BLS Certification or attainment within 180 days of start.
