Job summary

ROCKLAND FAMILY MEDICAL CARE in Monsey, NY is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a full-time (preferred) or part-time position in primary care. You will work with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality care and participate in several clinic programs aimed at improving patient outcomes and productivity.

The ideal candidate offers excellent bedside manner, strong clinical judgment, and reliable documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active PA/NP license in the practicing state.
• Graduate of an accredited PA/NP program.
• Fluency in another language (Spanish or Russian) is a plus.
• Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and bedside manner.
• Experience with medical terminology, EMR, and diagnostic testing.
• Interest in long-term growth with the practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, obtain histories, perform exams, and develop plans.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions within scope.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other tests.
• Explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly to patients.
• Prescribe medications in collaboration with the supervising physician.
• Complete accurate documentation and closing charts.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and staff.
• Participate in clinic programs including preventive care and chronic disease management.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient care, workflows, and efficiency.
• Maintain organization and follow-through on results and referrals.
