Job summary

Dignity Health in Arizona is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive primary care at our Chino Valley clinic, providing high-quality, compassionate services.

You will evaluate, diagnose, treat, counsel, and refer patients, working independently and with a supportive team; the role offers flexible scheduling, dedicated patient care hours (36 per week) with 4 administrative hours, and dedicated Medical Assistant support.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Active or eligible AZ license.
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license.
  • Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license.
  • National NP certification under AZ regulations.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced practice primary care including evaluation, diagnostics, therapeutics, counseling, and referrals.
  • Deliver healthcare as part of a collaborative team in a supportive environment.
  • Schedule supports patient care with 36 patient-facing hours weekly and 4 administrative hours.
  • Dedicated Medical Assistant support to the clinic.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will help patients at our Chino Valley Primary Care Clinic in Arizona receive comprehensive and compassionate medical care so they can achieve optimal health outcomes and well‑being. You will be a vital member of our healthcare team, delivering high‑quality primary care services within a supportive environment.

Every day you will provide healthcare to patients, acting as an advanced practice provider, including evaluation, monitoring, diagnostics, therapeutics, counseling, and referrals.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Flexible scheduling: Choose between 4 longer days or 5 standard days

  • Minimal after‑hours outpatient call (telephone only), 3-4 weeks annually

  • Dedicated patient care: 36 patient‑facing hours weekly, complemented by 4 administrative hours

  • Patient volume: Average 18-22 patients per 8‑hour outpatient day

  • Dedicated Medical Assistant support

Job Requirements
Required
  • Graduate of an accredited program with a Master's degree in Nursing

  • National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations
