Job summary

Physician Care Centers (PCC) in New Braunfels, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care to provide comprehensive, patient‑centered medical care across the lifespan in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

You will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, order tests, prescribe medications, and contribute to preventive care and population health initiatives, in a high‑quality primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP).
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current RN license.
• Current NP license in practicing state.
• National board certification – Family or Adult‑Gerontology NP.
• DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances.
• BLS/ACLS may be required depending on setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations.
• Provide preventive care and disease prevention services.
• Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient encounters in the EHR accurately and timely.
