A Brief Overview
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Primary Care team in Flourtown.
Expected schedule for this opportunity:
0.5 FTE (20 hours/week + 1 Saturday/month): Includes 16 patient care hours (one 8:00 AM–5:00 PM shift and one 11:00 AM–8:00 PM shift) and 4 administrative hours weekly. One Saturday shift per month (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) is included in the weekly patient care total.
Note: 1-hour breaks are not counted toward FTE.
The Nurse Practitioner will practice within scope of their Prescriptive Authority and Delineation of Privileges under the guidelines of the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Division of Ambulatory Care. In collaboration with the attending physician, the Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare management to both well and sick children enrolled in CHOP’s primary care network.
Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, with a focus on delivering high-quality, family-centered care. The role also involves participation in professional leadership activities, including quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and clinical consultation. Engagement in scholarly activities is also encouraged as part of ongoing professional development.
