Job summary

Choice Medical Group in Barstow, California is seeking a skilled Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join the Barstow clinic team. This outpatient role focuses on wellness visits, preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education.

You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, work Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (finishing around 4 with admin time), with 1099 or W2 options and no inpatient responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in NP program.
• Active California RN License and NP License.
• Furnishing License required.
• Board Certification as Family NP (AANP preferred).
• DEA registration required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication and EMR documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Perform annual wellness visits and preventive care.
• Manage chronic diseases and med reconciliation.
• Educate patients and coordinate continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR; no inpatient duties.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our growing clinical team supporting our Barstow clinic.

Position Highlights

• Full-Time or Part-Time outpatient opportunity with Choice Medical Group


• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with providers typically finishing patient care by 4:00 PM and remaining time allotted for administrative work


• No inpatient responsibilities or hospital call requirements; only occasional calls for your own patients


• Average patient volume of approximately 14-18 patients per day


• Focus on Annual Wellness Visits, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, medication reconciliation, patient education, and continuity of care


• Patient population consists primarily of geriatric and underserved/low-income families


• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes


• Salary range of approximately $106,000-$180,000 annually, depending on experience and schedule

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program


• Active California RN License, NP License, and Furnishing License


• Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP preferred)

• BLS and ACLS certifications required


• Minimum of one (1) year of recent clinical experience preferred


• Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and EMR documentation skills
