Job summary

Alfaro-McField Medical Clinic Inc is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing San Bernardino, CA team. You will conduct patient assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop care plans in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

You will prescribe medications, order tests, educate patients on disease prevention, and collaborate with physicians to ensure coordinated care. California NP licensure and DEA prescriptive authority are required.

Qualifications

• Valid California NP license and board certification (FNP/ANP or related).
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
• DEA license with prescriptive authority in CA.
• BLS/CPR required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in primary care or outpatient settings.
• Experience with EHRs and clinical documentation.
• English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical exams, and health screenings
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across a diverse patient population
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans and treatment protocols
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging studies
• Provide patient education on disease management, prevention, and wellness
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system

• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first approach
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus given the San Bernardino patient community
