Job summary

RIPC Medical Group in Rhode Island is seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join a growing, clinician-led practice delivering value-based, outpatient care. You will work with a collaborative team and manage a broad scope of primary care across the lifespan.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, with 16-20 patient visits per day, EMR documentation, and opportunities for quality improvement and team-based care in a modern, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (required).
• Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or related).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Rhode Island.
• Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain (required).
• Rhode Island Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) or eligibility to obtain (required).
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered, value-based primary care (required).
• Strong clinical judgment with ability to manage a broad range of primary care conditions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a team-based, technology-enabled care environment.
• Interest in quality improvement and population health initiatives (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the full lifespan.
• See 16-20 patients per day in a 100% outpatient setting.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with value-based care principles.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes.
• Practice in collaboration with physicians in accordance with Rhode Island regulations, including consultation and referral as appropriate.
• Manage an assigned patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management.
• Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives.
• Utilize EMR to document care and manage patient records.
• Perform in-office procedures based on experience and scope of practice (optional).
• Provide after-hours call coverage for your patient panel (shared model may be available).
• Engage in team-based care and contribute to a supportive, collaborative practice environment.
