Job summary

QuadMed in Ottawa, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in a patient-centered primary care setting. The Medical Assistant will provide vital signs, room patients, and support clinical workflows to achieve positive health outcomes.

Responsibilities include front office duties, EMR documentation, specimen collection, injections, and patient education while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited school of medical assisting, or combination of equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, etc.).
• Assists medical staff with patient examinations and EMR documentation.
• Front office duties including reception, check-in/check-out, scheduling, and payment collection.
• Performs injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as directed.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows regulations regarding patient information.
• Supports preventative health care and team-based delivery of care.
