Mercy is hiring a Primary Care Medical Assistant to support providers in a busy primary care clinic. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, review histories, and perform medication reconciliation, while helping close care gaps and coordinate tests.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, BLS within 90 days, and MA certification. On-site position with growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits after day one, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred 6 months of clinical healthcare experience.
• Active MA certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) preferred.
• LPN licensure preferred for LPN track.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by recording chief complaint and vitals.
• Review patient history and allergies; complete medication reconciliation.
• Use Encounter Guide to close care gaps (e.g., screenings).
• Assist with in-office tests including blood draws, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
• Administer vaccines within scope of practice.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate care plans with providers.
