Qualifications

• Education: Highschool Diploma or GED with 1-2 years Medical experience OR Graduate Bachelors or Associates in science/health degree; MA program or Medical Assistant Certification/Registration preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: MCMG Medical Assistant Certification/Registration preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years medical assisting preferred; 2-3 years medical office experience acceptable in lieu of education.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients: measure height, weight, and vitals.
• Review medical history and chief complaints and gather information.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and EKGs.
• Answer in basket messages, perform patient follow-up calls and messages.
• Use EPIC system for documentation.
