We Are Hiring

• Sign-On Bonus: Available
• Department: Primary Care
• Schedule: 1.0 FTE | 40 hours a week | Full-Time | Days | 4 days a week, 6:45 am - 5:15 PM | No weekends or holidays
• Hospital: Franklin Clinic
• Location: Franklin, WI

What You Will Do

Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of a physician.

• Assist with treatments ordered by the physician as supervised by the physician or registered nurse.
• Perform select clinical duties.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
• Manage supplies by ordering and stocking as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent OR 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.

Additional Preferences

Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred. Medical Assistant education or on-the-job experience is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

Medical Assistant

• Assist with treatments ordered by the provider, perform clinical duties, interview patients, measure vital signs, and prepare examination rooms.
• Perform clerical duties and manage supplies.

Licensed Practical Nurse

• Contribute to patient assessments, administer medications, observe for adverse reactions, perform lab tests, and educate patients about their care.

Licensure and Certification

• BLS credential from AHA or Red Cross within 30 days of hire.
• Practical/Vocational Nurse license from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience as a medical assistant is preferred. No prior experience required for LPN roles.
