Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocation Nurse (LPN/LVN) at the GS-6 level to join a Primary Care team. You will assist with patient intake, document care in the EMR, and coordinate with RNs and physicians to deliver high-quality nursing services to Veterans.

The role requires an active LPN/LVN license, English proficiency, and the ability to work within an integrated care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the State or NLNAC.
• Active, full, current LPN/LVN licensure in the United States/DC.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an LPN on a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) in Primary Care.
• Assists with intake of Veterans and maintains clinic flow.
• Completes clinical reminders and preventative health screenings.
• Documents nursing care in the Veterans EMR and reports to RN or provider.
• Performs treatments or procedures and administers medications as ordered.
