Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC seeks a Primary Care/Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for an inpatient behavioral hospital in Anchorage, AK. This full-time role also supports part-time options within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

You will perform initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, develop integrated medical and mental health treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families. Alaska NP/APRN licensure or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Alaska NP/APRN license or eligibility.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• AANPCB Board Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of post-training inpatient or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and staff to create integrated treatment plans.
• Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
• Deliver emergency care within licensure scope until specialty care is available.

What You’ll Do:

• Setting: Inpatient behavioral hospital.
• Full-time or part-time position available.
• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.
• Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
• Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
• Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Licensure: Active Alaska NP/APRN license or the ability to obtain licensure.
