Qualifications

• Active Alaska NP/APRN license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of post-training experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred.
• AANPCB Board Certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of post‑training inpatient or acute care experience preferred.
• Behavioral health experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and support staff to create integrated treatment plans.
• Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Provide medical consults and order diagnostics as needed.
• Deliver care within licensure scope and escalate when necessary.

Position: Primary Care/Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

What You’ll Do:

• Setting: Inpatient behavioral hospital.
• Full-time or part-time position available.
• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.
• Co‑manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
• Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
• Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.

What We’re Looking For:
