Primary Care Float Nurse Practitioner 20 Hours/ BWH

This role involves caring for patients across 15 Primary Care practices, including Family Medicine, Health Centers, Pediatric Care, and Adult Internal Medicine, located in Boston and nearby towns.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse responsible for assessment, management, and coordination of patient care in a variety of settings, working collaboratively with physicians and the care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, counseling, and education
  • Perform physical exams and order diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement care plans
  • Prescribe medications and record clinical findings
  • Participate in quality improvement and team collaboration
Qualifications
  • Master's in Nursing (MSN), DNP, or PhD in Nursing
  • Current Adult/Gerontology or Family Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Massachusetts APRN license
Experience
  • At least 5 years of recent office-based Primary Care experience as an NP
  • Experience working in a float or temporary position
  • Experience with telehealth modalities preferred
Additional Skills
  • Clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work under stress
Work Details
  • Location: Onsite at 1620 Tremont Street, Boston
  • Schedule: 20 hours/week, rotating shifts
