United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Primary Care Coder to accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and applicable modifier codes to patient health information across a variety of outpatient and clinical practice settings. This role supports coding activities for internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics, hospitalist services, walk-in clinics, specialty practice evaluation and management services, and emergency department encounters. The Coding Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate documentation, data retrieval, claim processing, and reimbursement. The ideal candidate will maintain a strong understanding of coding and reimbursement guidelines while consistently producing accurate code assignments with minimal errors. This position requires attention to detail, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and a commitment to supporting compliance, revenue integrity, and high-quality patient care through precise and timely coding practices.
Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Coding and Reimbursement, UHS Revenue Cycle Operations. Primary Work Shift: Day. Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Compensation Range: per hour, depending on experience.
