AdventHealth is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a busy clinical team in Ocala, FL. The role involves direct patient care, documentation, and coordination with physicians and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification, and experience with electronic health records. This full-time position offers day shifts and benefits from day one.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
• Knowledge of chronic disease management
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems
• Ability to function in fast-paced environments and apply stress management techniques
• Ability to work independently within the scope of certification
• Sound judgement and professional demeanor
• Clear communication in English and basic computer skills
• Experience with computers required

Responsabilidades

• Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' information.
• Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary.
• Performs clinical intake including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation at time of service or results.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear instructions.
• Monitors and manages inventory and equipment.
