Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations, perform intake, testing, and documentation, and help maintain efficient office flow. The role requires attention to policy and procedure, and commitment to patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a Basic Life Support certification and multiple CMA-type credentials (CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA) and have at least 1 year of related experience. Excellent communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and document results.
• Provide whole patient care during visits, including testing and medications.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and safety policies.
• Assist with procedures and documentation at time of service.
• Manage inventory and equipment maintenance.
• Support staff and patients as needed.
