Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Centerton

Family Medicine and Obstetrics, Suite 130

Full-Time; 40 hours/week, M-F 8am-5pm

Overview:
  • Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing the Advanced Standard room process, including entering the chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, completing medication reconciliation, working the Encounter Guide to close care gaps (such as fall risk, depression screening, cancer screenings, diabetic eye exams), rechecking elevated blood pressures, and documenting in Epic.
  • Assists with in-office testing (blood draws, mental status exams, EKGs, oxygen studies, point of care testing).
  • Administers vaccines and injections within scope of practice.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Collaborates with providers and care team to coordinate care plans.
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in primary care.
  • Certified Medical Assistant: Must have active certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic, with BLS certification within 90 days.
LPN/RN Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing or Registered Nurse license.
  • Active LPN or RN licensure.
  • Prior experience in a physician's office preferred, especially in Family Medicine or OB/GYN.
