Job summary

Palmetto Primary Care Physicians (PPCP) seeks an Advanced Practitioner (NP or PA) to join our outpatient family medicine team in Palmetto, SC. You will provide comprehensive patient care, collaborate with physicians, and support a full patient panel in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include exams, diagnoses, tests, and treatment planning, with a focus on preventive care and chronic disease management. Requires state NP/PA licensure, board certification, and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of family medicine across pediatric, adult, and geriatric care.
• Knowledge of pharmacology, disease processes, and evidence-based guidelines.
• Familiarity with preventive care standards, chronic disease management, and screening guidelines.
• Knowledge of state/federal regulations governing AP practice, prescribing authority, and scope of practice.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations with health histories and risk assessments.
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Prescribe medications and interventions within regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and preventive care.
• Coordinate with specialists and ensure timely follow-up communications.
• Document encounters accurately in the EHR and maintain compliance.
