Job summary

Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver primary or acute care within scope of practice. You will perform comprehensive histories, exams, order studies, and contribute to treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities include patient education, documentation for billing, rounds, and participating in patient safety and quality initiatives. Requires ARC-PA or PA/Nurse Practitioner credentials and licensure in PA.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARC-PA accredited program or PA/CRNP master's program.
• Current PA CRNP license in PA or multi-state eNLC.
• CRNP/NP prescriptive authority license required within 60 days of hire.
• NBP (AANP/ANCC) national certification required.
• CPR - American Heart Association.
• Criminal background clearance (Act 34/33/73/FBI) required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive histories and perform full physical exams.
• Order labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies as appropriate.
• Interpret data to guide treatment plans with the care team.
• Diagnose conditions and institute therapy per scope.
• Document for medical coding and billing.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Record progress in EMR and communicate with attending physicians.
• Perform hospital rounds and document progress.
• Institute emergency measures when needed.
• Notify attending physician of significant changes.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement.
