A leading auto parts retailer is seeking a Supervisor for the Pricing Department in Crozet, Virginia. The role involves supervising promotional responsibilities, analyzing advertising events for gross profit impact, and overseeing pricing strategies. Candidates should have strong communication skills, advanced PC proficiency, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. This position will supervise the promotional responsibilities of the Pricing Department including gross profit evaluation, creation and maintenance of AS400 sale batches, and tracking/billing for vendor scan down support. The Supervisor will lead their team in analyzing advertising events and reporting over the impact on gross profit and the company’s pricing strategy. This role will also serve as a representative and point of contact for the department regarding advertising price recommendations and store/vendor questions about event pricing and vendor support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Analyze upcoming, current, and completed advertising events (Retail and Installer) to determine their effect on gross profit.
Ensure margin maintenance and adherence to pricing strategy across advertising events.
Supervise the AS400 promotional batch creation/maintenance and flyer accuracy/MMPOS compliance checking processes.
Point of contact for all departments regarding the Promotional Planner system and the price optimization of advertising events.
Work with the Marketing, Sales, and Merchandise departments regarding ad event pricing recommendations.
Create and distribute gross profit, scan down, and lift reports per event.
Supervise the vendor scan down process and work with Finance to ensure all vendor support/reimbursement is properly invoiced.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all AS400/MMPOS promotional event issues.
Assist stores with all issues related to advertising events.
Supervise the label creation/distribution process.
Supervise weights and measures compliance across all stores.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
Advanced PC skills including experience with Excel and Access
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Desired:5 or more years of retail job experience
Knowledge of AS400 and MMPOS promotional systems functionality
Understanding of the Aftermarket Automotive Parts market
