Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. invites students for a Summer 2027 Pricing Internship in Peoria, IL; Mossville, IL; and Cary, NC. This 12-week, 40-hour-per-week onsite program builds pricing analysis, business skills, and exposure to leadership through hands-on projects and workshops.

Interns gain real-world experience in price strategy, data analysis, and cross-functional teamwork, with housing stipends, relocation assistance, and paid holidays as part of the rewards package.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in one of the listed programs at the time of application and throughout the program.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (Major GPA & Cumulative GPA).
• 12 completed semester hours prior to the start of the internship; transfer students must have 12 hours.
• Top candidates will have previous internship or relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical, initiative, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership involvement in student associations.
• Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handle pricing for Caterpillar Machines, Energy & Transportation, and Parts & Services as part of the pricing team.
• Collaborate with product, sales, marketing, accounting, and supply chain to drive value-based pricing.
• Advance Caterpillar’s digital pricing capabilities and support dynamic pricing strategies.
• Provide guidance for execution of pricing within governance framework.
• Interpret and communicate a wide range of data to stakeholders.
• Execute strategic and tactical price actions.
