Job summary

Interstate Batteries seeks a pricing professional to research, develop, and implement competitive pricing programs across market channels and product segments. You will monitor market conditions, analyze tradeoffs in price and volume, and facilitate pricing strategy changes from inception to marketplace introduction.

Responsibilities include leading strategic data-driven projects, analyzing competitive landscapes, and driving proactive strategies to mitigate risk and exploit profit potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong analytical coursework.
• Ability to search and extract information from large datasets and analyze incomplete data for conclusions.
• Analytical thinking with ability to provide consultative solutions.
• Experience with SAP and Oracle/JD Edwards E-One desirable.
• Experience with Tableau, Alteryx/SQL, Python/R preferred.

Purpose of Job: Researches, develops, and implements competitive pricing programs for various market channels and products segments to appropriately price based on relationship in price, volume, and long-term viability. Continuously monitors the market and competitor strategies to ensure pricing is in line to market conditions. Plans, directs, and facilitates all phases of the pricing strategy changes from inception through introduction into the marketplace.

Job Components

• Lead or assist in strategic projects that include data analysis, market developments, and predictive analytics.
• Coordinate, analyze, and report on the competitive landscape of the aftermarket battery industry to understand trends, positioning, and regional differences.
• Analyze the tradeoff relationship in price and volume and its impact on overall profits and long-term viability.
• Analyze origination and portfolio statistics to identify pockets of risk or opportunity and to develop proactive strategies that assist in mitigating risk exposure or exploiting profit potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or other related fields which require significant analytical coursework.
• Ability to search and extract information from large databases and analyze conflicting and incomplete data to reach analytically-based conclusions.
• Analytical skills, with the ability to see implications and provide consultative solutions and recommendations.
• Proficient in the utilization of MS products (Excel, Word, PPT, and Outlook); Experience with SAP and Oracle/JD Edwards E-One is desirable.
• Experience with Tableau, Alteryx/SQL, Python/R preferred.
