Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join its Supply Chain team in Downtown Houston. You will price and bill invoices for sales contracts and orders, and ensure accuracy of pricing data in SAP and related tools.

The role includes intercompany pricing, rebates, and monthly price-change execution. The position reports to the Pricing Supervisor and requires 3+ years of experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with HS plus 8 years accepted.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; HS with 8+ years experience considered.
• Experience pricing and invoicing for sales contracts and orders; SAP proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Act as main pricing contact for customer pricing issues.
• Price and bill invoices for sales contracts and orders; manage DOA signatures for purchases.
• Handle intercompany and interdivisional pricing; process rebates.
• Ensure pricing accuracy in SAP and other extended systems.
• Enter contract pricing in analytical tools for reporting and forecasting.
• Generate reports to support pricing discussions with customers.
• Collaborate to execute monthly price changes and update price files.
• Lead mass price updates with price protection and caps as needed.
• Investigate chargebacks with finance and operations; identify root causes.
• Support system improvements and provide guidance on SAP usage.

Supply Chain is a customer-focused Center of Excellence providing industry-leading service while delivering differential value to the business, today and into the future . We separate our Supply Chain functions into several areas; these include logistics , customer fulfillment, services, trade compliance, and support for business processes and systems.

As a member of our dynamic Supply Chain Team, you will be responsible for the pricing and billing of invoices for sales contracts and orders. Responsibilities also include pricing of purchase contracts and obtaining the appropriate DOA signatures to process purchases for payment. You may also handle Intercompany and Interdivisional pricing, and execution of rebates.

This position reports to the Pricing Supervisor and is located at our North American Headquarters in Downtown Houston. The position offers a competitive base salary, bonus, 401K matching, generous benefits package, pension plan, parking subsidy and employee discounts.

A Day in the Life

• Act as the main point of contact for all customer pricing-related issues.
• Establish relationships with internal stakeholders, clearly understand customer and system requirements such as rebates, provisional or formula pricing.
• Effectively deliver and facilitate communication across sales, marketing, and supply chain to provide answers to price inquiries. Proactively provide solutions to time-sensitive needs.
• Assure accuracy of pricing data in SAP and extended systems.
• Enter contract pricing information into analytical tools for reporting.
• Generate and analyze reports for the business containing data required to develop formula pricing calculations and competitive pricing discussions with customers.
• Provide recommendations to the business based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of customer and market data.
• Collaborate with the business to execute monthly price changes, update customer price files based on changes in relevant commodity market prices.
• Implement mass price updates by incorporating price protection and caps, where applicable, to ensure accuracy.
• Assure invoice accuracy, monitor metrics and lead efforts to enhance operational excellence and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the business and credit to investigate and resolve chargebacks. Determine root causes, identify trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate independent knowledge of the Enterprise system (SAP), extended system tools, and assist sales and team members with full utilization of these tools.
• Operate with a solution-oriented mindset with regard to process improvements; Assist with change implementation for extended system improvements or other customer fulfillment projects.
• Partner with peers to provide solutions, guidance to resolve customer or business related problems.
• Model LyondellBasell core competencies with internal and external customers.

You Bring This Value

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' relevant, industry-related experience.
• A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Will consider candidates with a High School Diploma that have at least 8 years' relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
