Job summary

Jobtailor in Herndon, VA seeks a Senior Pricing Leader to oversee pricing activities across multiple proposals and mentor a small team of pricing analysts.

You will coordinate with Contracts, Finance, Capture, Program, Procurement and Business Operations to develop pricing models, ensure FAR compliance, and present pricing briefings to senior leadership. US Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance are required.

Job description

• Lead and oversee pricing activities across multiple concurrent proposals
• Manage and mentor a team of 2-3 pricing analysts
• Serve as the primary communication point between the pricing team and the Director
• Collaborate with Contracts, Finance, Capture, Program, Procurement, and Business Operations teams
• Prepare pricing models and cost volume deliverables for proposals
• Consolidate and review cost estimates for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Analyze RFPs to identify pricing requirements, assumptions, and evaluation criteria
• Develop and manage pricing timelines, review cycles, and submission schedules
• Prepare and deliver pricing briefings to senior leadership
• Create and distribute subcontractor pricing templates
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards, and customer-specific guidelines
• Support customer fact-finding, audits, negotiations, and pricing discussions
• Lead pricing strategy aligned with win themes, competitive positioning, and customer priorities
• Perform financial analysis and cash flow development
• Maintain and enhance pricing tools, models, and best practices
• Explore and adopt AI-driven tools and innovative technologies for pricing processes

Requirements

• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in pricing, cost modeling, and proposal development
• Strong working knowledge of Government contract types, including T&M, CPAF, CPFF, and FFP
• Thorough understanding of the FAR and related regulatory frameworks
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent proposals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience developing and executing pricing strategy tied to competitive positioning and win themes
• Experience with financial analysis and cash flow development
• Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership and the Director
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, delegate, and keep a team moving
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including modeling, formulas, and data analysis
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Preferred: Federal contracting environment experience, ideally defense, intelligence, or national security
• Preferred: Prior leadership or team oversight experience in pricing or finance
• Preferred: Familiarity with rate structures, cost accounting, and financial planning
• Preferred: Experience with proposal management systems, pricing tools, or automated costing solutions
• ProPricer experience is a plus
• Preferred: Interest in and familiarity with AI tools, automation, or emerging technologies applied to pricing, finance, or proposal development
• Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI security clearance is a plus
