Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies seeks a detail‑oriented employee to maintain pricing data across the store, ensure accurate UPC information, and support daily operations. You will test vendor scans, update weekly ad items in the scanning file, and keep meticulous retail accounting records.

The role requires strong communication, ability to handle stress calmly, and flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude to manage people and organize workloads.
• Able to tactfully & calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
• Understanding of key components of department operations (managing people, merchandising, inventory, shrink control, customer services, labor scheduling, expense control).

Responsibilities

• Maintain store UPC File (price change, deletion, new items).
• Check in and test scan all vendors.
• Maintain weekly ad item in scanning file.
• Provide housekeeping in computer room including checking/cleaning filters and power backup systems.
• Copy PLU File twice a week.
• Maintain documentation on all retail accounting.
• Test scan entire store every six to eight weeks.
• Maintain Special Report File (A.C. Nielsen, Sami, Special Item Movement Report).
• Promote and implement company initiatives to direct reports.
• Perform any duties as assigned.
• Maintain flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights; weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
