Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a pricing documentation assistant to help keep pricing records accurate in-store. You will maintain UPC and PLU files, test vendor scans, and manage weekly ad items in the scanning system.

Responsibilities include daily housekeeping of the computer room, storing and organizing retail accounting files, and supporting company initiatives. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• A demonstrated aptitude to manage people and organize workloads.
• Able to calmly handle stressful situations and leave a positive impression.
• Understanding of department operations components (i.e., managing people, merchandising, inventory management, shrink control, customer services, labor scheduling, expense control, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Maintain store UPC File (price change, deletion, new items).
• Check in and test scan all vendors.
• Maintain weekly ad item in scanning file.
• Provide housekeeping in computer room, includes checking and cleaning filters, sweeping and mopping computer room floor, checking battery backup systems, and once a month power fail simulation.
• Copy PLU File twice a week.
• Maintain documentation on all retail accounting.
• Test scan entire store every six to eight weeks.
• Maintain Special Report File (A.C. Nielsen, Sami, Special Item Movement Report).
• Demonstrate the ability and desire to promote, communicate and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive manner.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned.
• Maintain flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights as the work demands; willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
