Job summary

Counterpart International is seeking a Costing and Pricing Associate to support the New Business Development Unit. This is a full-time position based in Arlington, VA.

The Associate will lead the development of proposal budgets and budget narratives, coordinating with headquarters staff, field teams and partners as needed. Responsibilities include creating budgets for RFAs, RFPs and IDIQs, developing pricing strategies, ensuring compliance, and supporting budget modifications for donor support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Business, Finance, International Development, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a development or government-funded context.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and budgeting/pricing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and cost applications for USAID, USDA, DOL and other donor solicitations.
• Develop cost narratives, pricing strategies, and assist with budget narratives.
• Coordinate budget compliance reviews with internal staff and partners.
• Provide training and mentorship to program staff on budgeting and pricing.
