Job summary

Novo Nordisk USA seeks a Pricing & Policy Insights professional to evaluate healthcare reform and regulatory changes from financial and strategic viewpoints. You will partner with policy, legal, and compliance teams across global markets, develop pricing analytics, and prepare analyses for investor relations and roadshows.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, data-driven decision making, and clear stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible, relevant experience (pricing, contracting, forecasting, consulting, portfolio analysis, policy analytics, and/or finance and reporting); At least 2 years within the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • A strong level of analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills
  • Ability to deliver message and presentations in a clear, confident manner
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. Demonstrates an ability to manage and influence to ensure business objectives are met
  • Ability to function in a project leadership role
  • Ability to interact and manage multiple internal relationships at all levels of the business
  • Attention to detail with an ability and readiness to delve into and resolve data problem
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and other key platforms

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Healthcare Reform/legislative changes from both a financial and strategic perspective
  • Strategic partner with PA - Policy team to stay up to date on federal policy changes and help guide the thinking on prioritization & recommendation on potential legislative changes
  • Strategic partner with legal/compliance to stay up to date on state level policy changes
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of legislative and regulatory mandates impacting pharmaceutical net price evolution and federal market access
  • Experience collaborating within a global matrix environment, with a foundational understanding of ex-US market access and pricing frameworks is a plus
  • Drive organizational awareness and understanding of political environment & financial risk
  • Assists in preparing any pricing/policy related analysis for investor relations questions as well as investor roadshows
  • Collaborates with government pricing team to provide inputs in order to assess all potential pricing changes on government calculations (e.g. URA, 340B)
  • Analyzes the impact on pricing decisions on ARP/profitability and provides guidance to key stakeholder
  • Partner with Strategy & Innovation to provide pricing analytics/insights for strategy evaluation & guidance on future outlook
  • Owns analysis for Risk Report and investor relations document
  • Serve as a key lead with legal & compliance on various workgroups
  • Develops scenario impact models on pricing and profitability within key channels.
  • Develops presentations for senior management (StC, Pricing Committee, etc)
  • Serve as key point with legal on congressional inquiries along with any additional pricing and policy related legal requests
  • Supports business and analytical expertise in the development of tools and methods that will result in more accurate customer profitability assessment and decision-making.

The Position

Relationships

Reports to Director, Pricing & Policy Insights. Works and partners closely with other team members in Pricing Insights; Public Affairs – Policy; Government Pricing & Compliance; Strategy and Innovation; Market Access; Investor Relations; Finance; Brand Marketing; Other Novo Nordisk internal departments such as Legal, Sales, etc. External relationships include field Account Executives and Directors, Novo Nordisk AS, professional associations, vendors, and customers.

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible, relevant experience (pricing, contracting, forecasting, consulting, portfolio analysis, policy analytics, and/or finance and reporting); At least 2 years within the pharmaceutical industry preferred

The base compensation range for this position is $99,600 to $184,200. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
