Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and help customers with friendly service. This entry level role offers hands-on retail experience and exposure to product, customer service and merchandising.

You will stock shelves, move products, backstock, work with leadership, keep a clean and safe store, and may work overnight to prepare the day. This role provides growth opportunities within a family-focused retailer.

Qualifications

• Entry level team member position.
• Exposure to retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.
• Comfort learning and using basic technology.
• Team-oriented with a flexible schedule.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to complete areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer interactions when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

What You Do

You'll:
