POSITION SUMMARY: As a Pricing Analyst at American Expediting, you will be responsible for evaluating pricing for new and existing clients, managing and organizing data, and collaborating across teams to ensure a smooth deal execution. You will work closely with various departments to ensure our pricing remains competitive while supporting our CORE commitment to excellence in service delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pricing Strategy and Execution:

1. Support sales initiatives through quotes and analysis.
2. Support sales staff with proposal presentations.
3. Creation of rate cards.
4. Assess price increases for renewal contracts to ensure they align with company pricing policies and contractual terms.
5. Track the performance of price increases on renewal rates.
6. Identify and mitigate risks associated with price increases, such as potential churn.
7. Monitor market dynamics, customer demands, and competitive pricing to make data-driven pricing decisions.
8. Analyze historical data to identify pricing trends and opportunities for optimization.
9. Create tools to support accurate and timely pricing decisions.
10. Support a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and managed.
12. Participate in customer contract negotiations, ensuring pricing terms are competitive while aligning with our mission-critical service standards.
13. Identify opportunities for long-term contract optimization, margin improvement and growth.

Data Analysis and Tools:

1. Utilize advanced data analysis and modeling techniques to make informed pricing decisions.
2. Evaluate and implement pricing optimization tools and software to enhance pricing capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

1. Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to align pricing strategies with the company's overall objectives.
2. Ensure clear communication and coordination between departments to support pricing decisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. Strong data analysis and modeling skills with proficiency in data analytics tools.
3. Courier routing knowledge is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Suite of Products.
2. Ability to communicate with all levels of the company, including Sr. Leadership.
3. Knowledge of logistics industry dynamics, pricing strategies, and market trends.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and customer-focused environment.
5. Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple team members.
7. Detail-oriented; able to work with large sets of data.
8. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
