Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC, a leading coil coating company in the United States, seeks a Pricing Analyst to quote and price products per customer specs and market needs. You will work with Sales and Customer Experience teams to develop pricing strategies, build data-driven models, and identify opportunities to improve margins.

The role emphasizes analytical excellence, teamwork with Operations and Quality, and maintaining price tables and quoting systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in pricing/financial analysis or related field.
• Bachelor of Arts in Finance or Accounting required.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail; able to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Generate timely quotes and review pricing against customer specs and market needs.
• Develop data sources, models, and methods to identify pricing improvements and margin opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience, Operations and Quality teams to fulfill inquiries and align pricing with product specifications.
• Maintain price building tables to drive quoting systems and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Follow documented parameters for quoting and pricing; demonstrate strong analytical thinking.

Company Description BlueScope Coated Products is one of the largest coil coating companies in the United States, with facilities across the country. The Pricing Analyst serves as the primary contact for quoting and pricing products per customer specifications and market needs. This position is highly analytical, results-driven, and works with multiple sources of data to help BlueScope Coated Products determine and set competitive prices to achieve market and financial goals. This position collaborates closely with the Sales and Customer Experience Team members.

Key Focus Areas

• Pricing Analysis Responsible for timely quote generation, quote review, pricing adjustments and pricing analysis based on information provided by the Sales and/or Customer Experience team members.
• Develop data sources, models, and methods to identify pricing improvements, opportunities or inconsistencies such as margin leaks.
• Collaborates with the Operations and Quality teams to fulfill customer inquiries and develop understanding of processing capabilities to customer product specifications.
• Develops in-depth knowledge of the coil coating process, paint suppliers and quoting systems.
• Supports the maintenance of price building tables that drive the quoting systems.
• Follow documented parameters and restrictions for quoting and pricing.
• Possess and demonstrate analytical thinking capabilities.
• Participate and engage in any trainings, development opportunities and activities related to BlueScope Coated Products.

Foundational Experience Required Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications: 3+ years of experience or related field experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to details.
• Self-driven with ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work quickly and under tight deadlines.
• Strong foundational math skills with ability to perform general calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and statistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience in PriceFx a plus.
• Datawarehouse design.
• CRM system.
• Business intelligence.
• Oracle system.
