Job summary

Encompass is seeking a Pricing Analyst to partner with sales, pricing, and purchasing to improve data accuracy and pricing processes. You will analyze pricing data, develop insights, and support strategic growth across product categories.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in an analytics role, strong English communication, and experience with MS Excel, SQL, Access, and SAP systems. You will turn data into actionable recommendations and help optimize profitability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an analytical data role.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, SQL, Access, or other data visualization tools.
• Bonus points for SAP or SAP 4HANA experience.
• BS/BA in business, finance, statistics, CS, or IS preferred.

The Job at a Glance

The Pricing Analyst will serve a critical role of partnering with the sales, pricing, and purchasing functional areas to improve communication, collaboration, data accuracy, and process efficiency.

The Pricing Analyst will be an analytical thought contributor and advisor on customer acquisition and strategic growth initiatives. The Pricing Analyst will be involved in the set-up, maintenance, and improvement of our pricing data and will be looked to as we continue to grow our business into additional product categories.

A Typical Day

• Creative problem solving, process optimization, and operational support.
• Assist and be a strategic advisor to sales, marketing, and purchasing functional areas.
• Analyzing and combining large data sets from various sources to develop insights into pricing strategies and trends.
• Analyzing Competitor offerings and pricing to increase sales and profit.
• Develop process improvements to improve data availability for business unit leaders.
• Proactively uncover timely and accurate insights into Parts Town's most influential customers, vendors, and partner with decision makers to maximize growth and profitability.
• Facilitate ad hoc data-needs for strategic company initiatives

To Land This Opportunity

• You have 2+ years of experience in an analytical data role
• You are a self-starter, looking to uncover the opportunity that others don't realize is there.
• You're an expert in analyzing data, identifying trends, summarizing findings, providing recommendations and can demonstrate quantitative decision-making skills.
• You're an all-star communicator, fluent in English (both written and verbal), with proven decision-making skills.
• You have experience in MS, SQL, Excel, Access, or other data visualization tools.
• Bonus points if you have experience in SAP, SAP 4HANA, et al.
• It's a plus if you have a BS/BA in business, finance, statistics, computer science, information systems, or related fields.
• You're an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)

The annual salary range for this role is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, equipment, and geographical location. Encompass is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a bonus depending on the role.
