Job summary

Deschutes Brewery, headquartered in Bend, Oregon, seeks a Pricing Analyst to centralize pricing across the company and partner with finance and sales to manage the pricing lifecycle onsite at our Bend offices.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field and 5+ years of pricing experience. You’ll develop analytics, build pricing models, and drive profitable pricing decisions helping Deschutes remain a top craft brewer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, data science or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience in related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience building pricing models.
• Ability to work with and interpret large amounts of data.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex business problems, lead cross-functional discussions, and ability to drive alignment with key stakeholders.
• Able to solve complex pricing problems by analyzing variables and apply solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-drive pricing tools that focus the portfolio on revenue generating decisions.
• Analyze pricing effectiveness, generate insights around patterns, trends, price/volume tradeoffs, and make recommendations to amplify promotion impact to drive sales and margin.
• Provide senior management with pricing insights and recommendations for adjustments.
• Manage the promotion review process by working closely with key stakeholders to design competitive promotions and facilitate leadership approval, implementation, and tracking of effectiveness.
• Monitor price-volume tradeoffs and provide analysis to help business design/refine promotions.
• Assist in developing pricing and margin best practices across the Deschutes Brewery footprint. Model and test various strategies.
• Enter and maintain pricing data to ensure pricing accuracy is communicated to sales team.
• Review and reconcile pricing calculations with distributor partners across the footprint.
• Drive accuracy of pricing data through tracking and managing abnormalities in budgeting against actuals.
• Manage competitor price data inflows as well as ad hoc collections and pricing research.
• Generate and maintain key pricing metrics.
• Must follow and adhere to all Deschutes Brewery company policies and procedures.

We are looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our team! The Pricing Analyst is responsible for pricing products to drive profitability across the portfolio. This position will centralize pricing across the company and works closely with the finance and sales team to manage the pricing lifecycle. This position reports through the finance department, and works onsite at our offices in Bend, Oregon.
