Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks an Associate Actuary, Pricing to set pricing assumptions for Medicare Part D bids and support product development with pricing projections.

You will develop pricing tools, analyze utilization trends, and collaborate with pricing, forecasting, clinical, and finance teams to reflect market dynamics.

This remote role includes travel to Humana offices as needed and offers a bonus incentive plan; a Bachelor's degree and ASA/MAAA designations are required.

Qualifications

• ASA designation and MAAA designation required.

• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes claims experience, utilization trends, and market dynamics to forecast drug costs at drug/therapeutic/product levels.
• Uses actuarial models and analyses to identify root causes of utilization changes and actionable insights.
• Collaborates with pricing, forecasting, clinical, pharmacy, formulary, and finance teams to reflect emerging experience and initiatives.
• Monitors external factors (new drug launches, LOE events, guidelines, regulatory impacts) for impact on utilization patterns.
• Communicates findings and recommendations to partners and leadership to support forecasting and strategic planning.
• Contributes to department strategy through Medicare Part D utilization expertise.
