Job summary

Memphis Goodwill Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Pricer for the Union location to help price merchandise, sort donations, and maintain a smooth flow of goods to the sales floor. This role supports daily operations and contributes to achieving production targets.

The position requires standing, lifting up to 60 pounds, basic math, and a cooperative attitude. Evening and weekend availability is expected to align with store needs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Guiding Principle: All donations should be processed within 24 hours. Goods are to be continually flowing to the sales floor.
• Sorts donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories and place non-salable apparel, shoes, or handbags into salvage containers. Places all other non-salable items (i.e. broken or non-functioning wares, electrical and mechanical, wet items, etc.) into trash.
• Meets and often exceeds production goals.
• Prices merchandise using the baseline price guide; special price items of exceptional value. 5. Keeps abreast of brand names, merchandise knowledge, industry trends and competitive pricing.
• Maintains processing area and equipment in a neat, clean and operable condition at all times.
• Performs mark-downs in compliance with GGC policy.
• Reviews and utilizes current Consumer Product Safety Commission recall bulletins to prevent unsafe items from being sold in the store.
• Follows good safety and security practices. Including reporting safety hazards.
• Attends in-service and related training as assigned by team leader coach
• Safely move wares totes to/off the sales floor no more than four high; empty totes stacked at 15 high.
• Other duties as assigned by the TLC and/or ATL.
