Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a Front End/Scanning Department associate to maintain scanning integrity and provide fast, friendly customer service. You will be a liaison between the store and the Scanning Department, ensuring price accuracy and assisting customers with questions.

Responsibilities include maintaining 5S standards, knowing Gateway, scales and scanning, and communicating discrepancies to departments. Hours may fit multiple shifts; training and back-up support are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years related experience.
• Strong communication skills; basic literacy and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 5S standards to provide fast, friendly service.
• Keep workstation neat, clean, and organized per 5S guidelines.
• Possess thorough knowledge of store systems: Gateway, scales and scanning.
• Assist customers by answering questions and guiding purchases.
• Verify price accuracy and weekly changes; communicate discrepancies to departments and Scanning.
• Maintain price tags and ensure visibility across departments.
• Provide back-up support to Front End operations when needed.
• Train back-up PAC associate and maintain front end flip charts.
