Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a PreWeigh Operator for the 1st shift (5:00 am – 1:30 am, Monday through Thursday) to weigh ingredients and follow written formulas in a GMP-compliant manufacturing setting.

You will read recipes, rotate raw materials, stage inventory, operate preweigh equipment, and communicate issues to supervisors. A detail-oriented team player with lifting ability to 50 lbs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to weigh materials and perform unit conversions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

We currently have one shift available for the PreWeigh opportunity:

1st Shift - 10-Hour: 5:00 am - 1:30 am - Monday thru Thursday

Position Summary:

The PreWeigh Operator will read, weigh and follow written formula procedures in an efficient and safe manner that complies with GMPs and meets product specifications.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Responsible for the use of raw material in proper rotation (oldest first) while weighing raw martials to recipe specifications and ensuring they are free of contaminants
• Store and stage inventory for preweigh operations and perform quality control checks to ensure standards are met, while providing sample materials for testing and disposition when required.
• Responsible for the operation, control, monitoring and trouble shooting of preweigh equipment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers. Report decisions, problems, and questions to managers in a timely manner.

Requirements

Minimum:

• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to conduct unit conversions, compute rate, ratio & percent
• Must be detail oriented and a quick learner with the ability to work within deadlines
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills and may require flexibility in scheduling
• Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs

Preferred:

• High School Diploma
• Dry Mix experience
• 2+ years food manufacturing and / or machine operation
