The Chattanoogan Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton Chattanooga is seeking an experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering Team. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will help keep the property safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for guests and staff.

Ideal candidates are dependable, hands-on problem solvers with experience in hotel or facilities maintenance. Competitive pay starts at $18 per hour, with benefits including a 401(k) with employer match, PTO and holiday pay,

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to identify issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
• Inspect rooms, public areas, and equipment for maintenance needs.
• Complete work orders and communicate repair status to the Engineering team.
• Maintain tools and spaces in a safe, organized condition.
• Support projects and property improvements with the Chief Engineer.

As a PreventiveMaintenance Worker, you'll be an important part of making that happen. From preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to responding to guest and operational needs, your work will directly contribute to the overall guest experience.

What You Will Do

• Proactively perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to identify and address potential issues before they become larger problems.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, appliances, fixtures, and general building maintenance.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Complete assigned work orders and communicate the status of repairs and outstanding issues to the Engineering team.
• Assist with maintaining hotel equipment, mechanical areas, tools, and workspaces in a safe and organized condition.
• Support the Chief Engineer and Engineering team with ongoing property improvement and maintenance projects.
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to address maintenance concerns and minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Help ensure the property consistently meets safety, cleanliness, operational, and brand standards.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations and assist with resolving issues efficiently.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-focused approach when interacting with guests and team members.
• Follow all company, hotel, Hilton brand, and safety policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with their hands.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, apartment maintenance, or a related field.
• Has working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance.
• Possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Can prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through to completion.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Works well independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
• Has strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Is willing to learn hotel-specific equipment, systems, and procedures.
• Is comfortable working a flexible hospitality schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
