BHcare seeks a Prevention Specialist to join the Alliance for Prevention & Wellness (APW) focused on tobacco prevention in South Central Connecticut. The role builds partnerships, coordinates assessments, plans and implements workplans, and delivers trainings and prevention programming.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in public health or related field, strong communication skills, and a CPS credential or willingness to obtain it. Salary $58,000–$65,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in prevention, mental health or substance misuse prevention.
• Ability to engage diverse communities and present to groups.
• Comfort with coalition work and partnership development.

• Facilitate coalition and prevention activities and use data to guide strategies.
