Job summary

DCCCA Day Reporting Center in Kansas is seeking a program coordinator to support development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation of community health initiatives. The role includes coordinating meetings, training, events, and partnerships with schools and community organizations to prevent substance misuse and promote mental health.

Responsibilities also include creating virtual learning content, tracking reporting components, and providing technical assistance to partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• College hours in community health, communications, human services, teaching, or related field.
• Experience with project management is required.
• Two years of experience in community-based health issues and/or training.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license, automobile liability insurance, and maintain an MVR meeting insurability standards; reliable transportation is required.

Essential Functions

• Supports program development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation as necessary to meet funding requirements.
• Manages coordination and subject matter content during the development of meetings, training, events, and conferences.
• Tracks and manages components required for project reporting.
• Creates and promotes social media content and other virtual learning opportunities.
• Coordinates the Douglas County Youth Empowerment and Prevention (YEP) and school-based partnerships of YEP.
• Assists in the facilitation and coordination of Engage Douglas County meetings.
• Implements relevant prevention initiatives, including educating communities and youth to reduce the prevalence of substance misuse, as well as raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental health promotion.
• Provides training and technical assistance to community partners on substance misuse, suicide prevention, and mental health promotion.
• Supports other prevention projects as assigned in partnership with other prevention staff.

Education, Experience, and Licensure

• Requires a bachelor's degree
• Requires college hours in community health, communications, human services, teaching, or another related field
• Must have experience with project management
• Requires two years of experience in community-based health issues and/or training
• Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position
